It’s always so intriguing when you walk down memory lane. You go back and recall everything that happened at that time, involving all of your 5 senses. Suddenly, you feel like you’ve been transported back to where it all happened. You trace back every single step… trying to figure out why.

Then when clarity gives light to you,

You wake up and realise, indeed, everything has been planned.

Whatever that seemed right at that time but didn’t go your way, was indeed never meant for you.

Which shows more,

What God really is,

The Almighty one.

To me:

Meeting people isn’t as hard as letting them know you.

Honestly, I’m really shy about sharing my opinions when I meet people for the 1st time. Especially during group discussions and when topics become on the heavy side. I back out from the conversation and become a wall flower for the time being. I observe to see someone’s reaction, their views, their body language before putting out my own thoughts. And me putting out my views, takes like… months.

So then, am I labelled as the one who never gets noticed? Or the mysterious one?

Or do I just put my walls so high up in the sky that I really don’t let anyone in?

Or am I just afraid to be judged and shot down?

Sigh.

Or maybe, I just want to guard my heart from it getting stabbed and shredded into pieces.

I guess the term ‘home sick’ isn’t a great way to describe one missing home.

Home isn’t where you’re located at.

Home isn’t where you grew up at.

Home isn’t the house that you live in.

Home is where the people you love are at.

Home is where you can find peace and comfort in.

Home is whom you grew up with.

I miss my family, my HK cafe sessions and my cable tv.

Other than that, I’m happy over here.

The recent happenings have made me wonder…

Will I ever be able to earn enough to provide my children:

1. An education that would broaden their horizon.
2. To go on trips to let them see the world
3. To allow them to do what they like and not be conformed to society’s expectations
4. To live comfortable and afford the better things in life

Then I asked myself this, “how did my parents do it?”

And I started to cry, with tears of gratefulness.

Blessed.

It’s exactly times, situations or happenings like these that make you all the more thankful and appreciative towards God.

Indeed He works in mysterious ways, but all in all, whatever the outcome… they’re always for the better of us!

You always know at the end of the day, with whatever burden that is weighing you down, you cast all of them on Him.

And that feeling of peace, comfort, enlightenment and being blessed… just brings a smile and joy to your heart.

In ways that are unexplainable.

You know, I kinda just found out… that I’m really bad at reading the signs or feeling the vibes.

It was actually kinda one-sided after much talking.

When will I ever get better at this.

Or more like, “O Lord, please let my 1st boyfriend be the man I marry so that I don’t need to decipher the signs, read into the body language and kill myself when I find out that it’s all one-sided… yet again. And worse still, go on endless dates and meet guys to only get hurt at the end of day.”

Today, I tasted my 1st experience in Perth of a “Knight in shining amour saving a damsel in distress.”

Being the “shit happens to Deborah” as usual… I stalled my car along a busy road near UWA… during peak hour somemore.

Then, when I tried to restart my car….. BANG. MY FIRST BREAKDOWN.

The next thing I knew, a guy walked over asking, “Do you want to push your car to the side first?”

And the best thing was… this guy.. is the hottest Singaporean male in my course. I mean.. H.O.T.. LOL

Anyways, he came and pushed the car with the help of my friend Yue xing (Thanks a bunch! dont know what i wouldve done if you weren’t there!!) Then he drove his car over to jump start it.

Really.. what are the odds that your eye candy comes over and help you out? LOL

Then, in this situation, would you seize the opportunity to ask him out? Or leave it as him being a good Samaritan?

Ahh… atlas, back in sunny, beachy Perth.

And then again.. back to school, which I’m psyched up for this semester!
